The environment is a very important subject for me and my work concerns the many issues we face today. Problems of pollution, exploitation of natural resources, loss of biodiversity, waste disposal, and of course climate change are problems that must be addressed before we make earth unlivable. The paintings bring attention to these issues. They are cut in shapes that might be seen in nature. There are very few straight lines in nature and even fewer rectangles and we should no longer work within these frameworks which are human constructs.
